New interactive photos show Mississauga construction projects from then and now
Anybody who’s spent any time in Mississauga can tell you just how much the city has grown over the past couple of decades.
Some may even wistfully long for the days when it was filled with huge open swathes of developable land that hadn’t yet been converted into town homes, condominiums, stores and shops. But, those days are long gone.
Showing just how much the city has changed is a new initiative by Point2 Homes, an online real estate marketplace. They’ve put together a series of photos of 10 condominium developments in Mississauga that show what the area looked like before the construction and what it looks like afterwards.
The goal, according to Point2 Homes spokesperson Roxana Baiceanu, is to show how the cityscape of several major Canadian cities have changed over the past few years due to new construction. They’ve already done similar projects for Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Halifax.
